Fall has come to the East Coast

Nick and I thought that since his parents were down we would go for a drive sot hey could see the country side and all the fall colors. We were so fortunate to find this area its known as the Washington State Park. George Washington that is. It is very close the Crystal Grottoes which I already posted below, both are located about an hour and a half from Baltimore which is considered the country. We saw some of the cutest small towns I had ever seen. The whole trip was like we very in a movie (Has any one seen practical magic? The town they lived in? It was identical I swear) we had so much fun the whole day was so peaceful and calm.

This is the entrance to the park, we had to drive for about five minutes to get the the parking lot so we could get out and walk to the monument in the center of the Park.

Isn't this idealic?

Erected in Memory of George Wachington, this was the Monument we were hiking to. I didnt get a picture of it but just imagine a huge circular fireplace with stairs that run up the center covered in stone.

This is the veiw from the top of the monument it is overloking several towns below. There are also large lights that light up the structure so the people living below can see the monument at night.

Nick, Rachelle and Jeff the boys however are not posing for my picture. do you think that they are tired of taking pictures?

I on the other hand am never tired of taking pictures :D

Capitals VS Thrashers

We all got to go a NHL game just this past week it was so much fun. The game was so exciting we got to see several fights the game went into an extented period and I lost my voice what a night we all had a blast. D.C played Atlanta and whopped em 4-3.

opening the game just before the announcer introduced the players

The energy was so crazy and intense at the game you couldn't help screaming and jumping around with everyone.

After the 1st period I made Nick take a picture, this was the only one I got with him smiling :D

our good friend Ovechkin in the penalty box... Again

WE WON YEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol Nick was soo excited and so was everyone else!
I think we all had a great time!

Crystal Grottoes

The Crystal Grottoes in Boonesboro Maryland. We nearly missed our stop this little shop was litterally in the middle of nowhere and just off the side of the road. Rachelle (Nicks Mama) and I both thought that it looked very creepy but it turned out to be one of the coolest things we got to do while Nicks parents were up visiting.

This is the outside store and entrance to the caves. The Crystal Grottoes is a beautiful underground cave system the Largest in Maryland, we got to see some pretty cool stuff most of which I cant remember the names to~
This is our 4 man tour Jeff ,Rachelle, Me and Nick it was soo cold down there~

Our Tour Guide he was pretty cool a little strange just very nice :) This was one of the big caverns and a picture of the largest drapery folds in the whole system.

"The Thinker"

"Stone water falls"

This was a really cool part of the tour I just love this picture don't ask me what is in it though!

My Hunky Firefighter!

I came across these pictures today as I was going through my camera and I thought that I would share just what we experienced on our Independence day.
So this is our home We live at about the middle of the building. For several days now we had been hearing loud booming sounds so loud that it would shake our TV and rattle the windows. I was so scared my heart would stop everytime. We just figured someone was lighting fireworks off of their balcony just above our apartment. Nice HUH?
We'll just after the 4th we heard it again, just outside our window we saw the explosion and a tail of fire racing toward the ground Nick and I race outside to see if it hit anything.... Now just below our apartment we have a car port with an overhang where you can park if its raining or what have you. WEll it was on FIRE!!!!! We realized no one was doing anything so Being the hunky DO-It Yourself guy I know he is My husband Nick ran down stairs, Climed over a neighbors balcony and walking on the roof of the overhang, keep in mind it was on fire and Saved us all by using several pitchers of water to extinguish the roaring flames !!!!!
The after math! Once the real firefighters were done!

Lets Get Started!

THE DECONSTRUCTION!
Project continued...

Thanks to our hammer Nicks new and Awesome Drill and my loving husbands huge muscles, we broke everything apart and piled them in neat piles all over our balcony.

And yes you quessed it now we have to prep for sanding. This shouldnt be too hard right?

Thunder Storm

Nick and I sat outside and watched the craziest thunderstorm last night. Lightening and thunder were right on top of each other. Poor oliver was soo scared we shut the patio door so he couldn't run inside lol it was soo funny! oh ignore the pallets behind Nick, I was working on a project and decided not to do it anymore... so naturally there still there!

Projects

So Iv been trying to keep my self busy and creative so I have been experimenting with serveral different mediums one being Sewing I LOVE it...

Just a few Projects Iv finished during my crazy schedule!

I painted My bathroom this gorgeous Gray Brown color that I adore although you cant tell in this picture its way cuter in person. The Project I'm showing you is only half done, I decided to use the left over brown paint to cover 2 20X20 canvases and design a bold print over the top! I blow up a very small picture that I found to use as the print and because I couldn't get any bigger than a foot I had to freehand the design. but i love it turned out great.

Just wait till i'm done with this bathroom!!

Reversible Carseat Cover (chair cover since I don't have a carseat!) These are some of my first things that I have sewn! Its soo Much fun!!

Burp clothes with chenille Fabric

Dodgers Vs Nationals

We went with Shannon and Eugene to a nationals Dodgers games I love baseball it was such a fun day we rode the metro there, and it put us out right in front of the stadium. We even snuck down to a lower section in the 5 inning this was out first MLB game

I took this picture behind my back and I even got Donavan Mcnabb in my sights lol Just kidding its not him but it looks like him haha. This is a pictures of a building where several things were happening, famous announcers were in there recording the pre-game show way cool huh

this is our view I Loved everything about it except for the drunk annoyingly kids behinds us screaming things that made it very clear they had no idea what was going on in the game. What do you do?

do you see that white streek just above the batters knee??? yes thats the ball....

Manny Ramirez though he didn't play at all he look like he had fun.

Medieval Times

Post dinner and tournament I had the worst sneezing fit ever in there dust and hay and did I say Dust... left to right Nick, Me, Sanjay, Sheera, Shannon and Eugene

MEDIEVAL TIMES
What a blast we went here on Shannon and Eugene's last night in Baltimore with Sheera and her BF the food was ridiculous we got half a roasted chicken each, ribs bread and soup. It was very fun iv never done anything like it before. It was more expensive then somethings but it was fun to do once.

So basically what you do is you come inside this castle to purchase your tickets for dinner and the tournament. Then they place you in 1 of 6 sections each section is color coded to a knight. (we were Green the evil guy but a very talented young man)

Fight Scene

The Prince in getting captured right in front of us "Oh My!"

Nations Capital

This is our trip to DC it was so much fun we took Shannon and Eugene when they came to visit us last month....We love them soo much and were so happy to see them. Thanks guy for coming you definitely made it a blast.
